A Triptico Update for You to Try!
Discover the improved Listen resource - now with enhanced language support, high-quality audio and helpful reports!
This week brings another significant update to the Triptico website — designed to enrich your teaching and enhance your students' learning experience.
The Listen resource has been completely rebuilt to support an even wider range of languages, with dramatically improved audio quality and a user-friendly interface.
The resource will speak any text that you (or the AI Assistant if utilising this time-saving new feature!) add when creating an activity.
This update is part of our ongoing commitment to providing you with the most effective tools for your classroom.
To give you a closer look at the enhancements, here are two short videos showcasing Listen in action.
You will notice the much-improved clarity and precision of the new audio output as it speaks the text from your Triptico activities.
This improvement is a huge leap forward from the previous version's ‘browser-dependent’ approach, which could deliver inconsistent results.
As you'll discover, the resource is designed to save you time by automatically detecting the language(s) used in your activity. However, should you require, there's also the option to manually select your preferred language:
The second video illustrates another aspect of Listen by demonstrating an activity that uses a combination of text and images.
Also, keep in mind that activities that you use with the Listen resource are sharable and compatible with other Triptico resources as well — such as Spinner, Bingo, Word Magnets, Hidden Card — to name just a few.
That’s the same saved file — which can be created in seconds! — used across a variety of resources or embedded in lessons and presentations!
Another notable enhancement to Listen is the introduction of an experimental 'report' feature which, after 10 questions, produces a score and feedback.
This feature presents a valuable chance to pause and assess understanding.
Furthermore, it can be printed out for teacher review or saved for future reference:
I’d love to hear your thoughts on this new idea.
Is it something that could be helpful to you and your students?
Is it something that you would like me to add to other Triptico resources?
