Enhancing Your Lessons with Custom Fonts
Tailor Your Educational Content with Diverse Font Options
This week, I've delved into the latest features of the Lesson Builder, testing the new templates and generating sample content.
I decided to create a presentation for an assembly — a task reminiscent of my teaching days! — on the topic of Mardi Gras.
I thought it might be nice to use a fun font and, whilst this was possible, it meant changing my default font — which would automatically change the font for all of my lessons and resources.
This sparked an idea: the flexibility to select unique fonts for individual lessons without impacting the entirety of one's resources.
I've now added this capability and so, when you create your next lesson or presentation, you should notice a new 'T' button:
Clicking this button provides access to an extensive array of over 1,500 Google Fonts, offering an optional custom touch for each lesson that you create:
To illustrate this new feature, take a glimpse at the Mardi Gras assembly, now boasting its own distinctive font: Mardi Gras Assembly.

And something more futuristic:
As ever, the thought behind this update is to offer you the tools to design engaging and varied educational experiences for all subjects and ages of learner.
Spinner Update
Whilst making this lesson, I also updated the Spinner to allow for additional information and images to be viewed together:
And Finally…
If you have yet to use the Lesson Builder you will be pleased to know that I updated the User Guide this week to include information about creating lessons:
(You can also view all of the available templates in the ‘Lessons’ tab here.)
I hope these updates are helpful as you craft dynamic and personalised educational content to use in your classroom and to share with students.
