I received a question this week through the chat widget on the Triptico website:
“I was just wondering whether use of arrow keys to navigate within Cardboard specifically could be done? Just a query. No drama if it's a complete headache to do.”
In response to this suggestion, I'm excited to announce that I've added keyboard navigation to the Card Board resource!
With the latest update, you can interact with your cards more efficiently using the arrow keys. Here's a quick rundown:
Left and Right Arrow Keys: Move backward and forward through the cards.
Down Arrow Key: Flip a card over.
Up Arrow Key: Activate text-to-speech for any text on the card.

But that's not all…
I've also enhanced the text-to-speech functionality.
The resource automatically detects the language used on each card and sets it accordingly. You can still adjust the language settings manually if you wish, but improvements I have made here should make the feature smoother and more accurate.
I have also made improvements to the ways that single-sided cards are dealt when they have been shuffled!
If you'd like to try out these new features, check out this sample activity:

These recent comments especially made my day:
Just wanted to pass on an overheard comment from one of the boys last lesson - "You know it's going to be good when he opens Triptico..." 😂
and…
Hi, just a little bit of feedback - I gave out logins at last night's staff meeting and already everyone is absoutely buzzing with enthusiasm. Teachers are coming up with great ideas for using the resources. So glad we signed up!!
Thank you for your continued support and enthusiasm!
