The new Lesson Builder (and two new features)
Updates to the New Triptico Website
Hello,
After a very enjoyable workshop with a group of language teachers this week, I built a short demo lesson focussed on one question:
How can we increase student participation and target-language use, without increasing teacher workload?
The lesson shows how content created in seconds can support:
Retrieval
Listening
Image interpretation
Sentence building
And much more!
All built on the new website, using Triptico’s brand new Lesson Builder.
If you try any of the ideas, I’d love to know which slide you think would work best with your classes.
New: Image Backgrounds in Move
The Move activity now supports full image backgrounds.
Perfect for:
Labelling tasks
Vocabulary retrieval
Image analysis and much more, across all subject areas.
Also New: Commit
A simple activity where students rank items.
Unlike the Order activity, once placed, the items cannot be moved.
It forces decisions
It encourages justification
It sparks debate and discussion
Commit is the latest of 17 activities you can use for free with the same simple list.
If this approach interests you, or if your department would be interested in a short workshop exploring ideas like this, just reply to this newsletter.
I’ll be very happy to share more.
Thanks as ever for supporting Triptico,
David
