Could this be the future of Triptico?
Ideas for a new website, new activities and new ways to create...
Hello all,
It’s been a while since my last update!
I’ve been busy coding, working on a completely new platform that I hope will bring together many of the ideas I’ve been experimenting with lately.
My plan is to create three clear tiers for Triptico (neatly matching the name!).
Tier 1 — Lists
Create a simple list and open it with a growing library of engaging activities. Easy to share. Free for everyone to use.
I’ve tried to make this introductory tier as simple and user-friendly as possible.
Teachers can be up and running in seconds, creating and sharing engaging learning resources with ease.
Simply type, paste or ask the AI Assistant to generate a list of names, key words, questions, tasks - whatever you like!
I’ve been working on many brand-new activities (all of which can be used with these simple lists) such as Unique, Compare, Knockout and Auction.
Auction is something completely new for Triptico. It lets teachers run a lively classroom auction where learners bid (on connected devices or manually) to win items from a list. There are four fun formats to choose from, each offering plenty of scope for inventive classroom use!
Tier 2 — Plus
Subscribers can access more advanced activities with extra features: add images, questions and answers, true/false tasks and more.
This tier takes what’s great about the current Triptico website and adds a more tailored way to create each activity, replacing the current ‘set of cards for all’ system with something much more user-friendly.
There’s also a brand-new database behind the scenes, enabling new features such as leaderboards for quizzes and easier sharing (and opening the door to many exciting possibilities ahead).
I am completely rebuilding all of the activities, including Football. The current Football activity uses a free service to connect devices, which some teachers tell me can be unreliable.
The new one uses a much more robust system — plus adds sharp new graphics, options and features. A huge upgrade for a Triptico favourite!
Tier 3 — Lesson
Create and share interactive lessons and presentations, enabling seamless integration of activities from Tier One (Lists) and Tier Two (Plus) into your slides.
Of course, you’ll still be able to add slides from a library of ready-made templates too.
I’m working on this at the moment, so I’d love your feedback…
Question: Do you use the Lesson Builder? What works well? What could I improve?
What I’m hoping the new Triptico will bring…
20+ brand new activities and templates.
Clear three-tier structure (List, Plus, Lesson) makes it easier to understand what Triptico offers at a glance.
‘Begin with lists’ approach means all teachers can start creating instantly. Minimal learning curve, option to move through the tiers as confidence grows.
Clean, modern interface and activity-specific creation tools instead of a single generic ‘set of cards’ for all. (Note: It will still be possible to open the same saved file with many different activities - view example.)
New, robust device-linking system replaces the older free, sometimes unreliable, connection service (enabling multiplayer and collaborative activities like Football to run much more smoothly).
Lays the foundation for more interactive, connected experiences in the future.
Still no software to download or install, no adverts, accessible anywhere.
More user-friendly, easier to share, more engaging for learners.
Rewards and achievements for those who share Triptico with others.
… and much, MUCH more!
As you see, lots of new ideas!
I’d love to hear your thoughts about them and anything else that you would like to see added.

I’ll also post early links to this chat when the new site is ready for testing, so join to be one of the first to take a look.
Thanks as ever for supporting Triptico,
David
